Can the Moderate run be done without Aura of Faith? The only thing I feel less like than PvPing for some faction is capturing the elite.

Yes, it can be done, but I would prefer to have the extra buffer.
You can easily unlock it with a non survivor - granted you've gone some distance in Prophecies.

No-one said this wasn't without risk, it's just a hell of a lot quicker than the alternatives. It states clearly in the guide "ping is your enemy"...if you play on busy event weekends you get higher pings and more chance of lag.
Not worth / your wrists over, it's just a game.

............... i had about 80 hours on my monk, then i had found this method, tried it out on my warrior, did great, did it on my monk, i was about 5 minutes from L Survivor on him, then my internet decides to disconnect on me, and i die..... yes, i can easily say i was very very pissed, punching floors, walls, etc..., yelling in anger.... 5 minutes away... the only reason i made that monk was for L Survivor, now i have to restart him (which i already did) but i decided to make a rit and go for it, i dont have the heart to work on my monk anymore
(btw, im not dissing this method, i love it, i came so close, it couldve happened with any other method too)

Not with cheating, using the fff method.
But seriously, i know what you're experiencing. They should pause the game whenever you're d/c, but unfortunately this is not possible.

I want to do this the most fool proof way possible. I want to make sure I actually get it this time since last time I used life bond with low- no armor and killed off my hero being stupid from the return on it.
As a paragon, I am assuming max armor and 2 bonders is the most fool proof way to get it? Also, assuming that I leave life bond out of the dual bonders? And just use life barrier?
What skills would you recommend as being able to survive the easiest? I don't care if it takes me say 30 hours compared to 18 or whatever, I just want to make sure my health will never drop below half (hopefully a method to make it stay at full entire time).
I read all the posts and stuff, i'm just concerned a bit since i've messed it up before.

I just wanted to point out that you don't need a runner for Bukdek Byway to get from Kaineng Center to The Marketplace. If you have a full hench party, you can run it at lvl 5 with no danger whatsoever.
From Kaineng Center, run right, towards the square where the Afflicted pop from holes in the ground. If you activate The Drunken Master before your run, the Afflicted won't spawn. You can run directly across the square to the southwestern exit, and run straight down the west edge of the map - past the location for Feed The Hungry - all the way to the Marketplace zone line without ever even seeing an enemy on radar.
...And to think people pay for this. Sheesh.

I want to do this run with max armor and lifebarrier+life bond to bypass the spirit bond requirement.
I know I will be returning low damage but I just want the lag proof version to work.
Since I don't need spirit bond what is the fastest alternate way to take them down?
I am a paragon primary. I was thinking the possibilities are SS, Vengeful was kanhei, bring a hero with famine and use /me sympathetic visages (would drain their adrenaline too).
Which do you think would help kill them the fastest?

I'm just trying this out in Arjohk Ward to see how this works with my Elementalist.
I set Dunkoro up as the bonder and the one casting the spirit.he casts Retribution and Holy Wrath. I get my HP raised to about 800. I then go out into the nearest group of Termites.
They attack like crazy....but never die. I see no yellow numbers over their heads until I use my Earthquake/Aftershock combo. Is there some trick to getting Retribution and Holy Wrath working that I don't know about?

Uhh theres a veldt beetle queen (monk) that is with most groups I believe, thats why they don't die.

I'm not talking about them not dying...I mean I don't see the big yellow damage numbers above their heads. It doesn't look like I am dealing any damage at all.But I am definitely receiving damage, since my health zeroes out eventually.
update:
Hmm, I think that when you do damage with passive enchantments cast by someone else, you do not see the damage numbers in yellow like you do with your own damage. So I was doing damage, just not very much damage. Not enough to kill the little termites at least, with or without the Beetle queen around. Something must be up with my Smiting Prayers hero monk, or maybe I need to use lower armor rather than my 60AL? Does that make a difference at all?
Update 2:
Taking the 30AL armor seems to be essential. Without that you are likely to not do enough damage if you are depending on Retribution and Holy Wrath to be your damage dealers. I got a Superior Rune for my Monk Hero and that also seems to have helped matters.I am not in the same area as the run described above, I'm trying this on Plains of Jarin in HardMode against Stalking Nephila.

superb, 9 hours, with slayer scrolls, and im r2 survivor, (took about 4 hours to get to marketplace with heroes, too many runners that fail ><)
Only thing is i c no point in the heal bonder. i simply put 3 skills in my bar: (im monk primary) Prot spirit, spirit bond, divine spirit
then obvious 1 hero (my dunky) with holy wrath retribution, bals spirit, bless sig, aura of faith
and other (my talhora) with life barrier, vital blessing, life attunement, essence bond, blssed signet, symbiosys
and melonni, with just 12 in beast, and also symbiosys
they bond me up, i flag em, scroll up, make talhora put down symbiosys, bam bam bam they die after hittin me, (hehe stupid jades)
move up heros, make melonni put up 2nd symbiosys (doesn't run out, its just that need it closer for 2nd group) this is 5 secs for some energy rehcarge and once its down, bam bam bam 2nd grp dies. Total, run about less than 2 mins, really like closer to 1 min.
See, same speed or better, no need to bond yourself so more energy for yourself. Even with like around ~1.6k health the jades manage to pull of amazing spikes and bring it to around 700 at times, i aint got time to stand and spam bless sig cuz i got bonds on me -.- so just saying its another alternative, you cant do the moderate run this way though sry >_>

Has anyone gotten this to work with the Stalking Nephilia in Hard Mode outside Sunspear Hall on the Plains of Jarin?
I tried a single bonder there, but their damage completely overwhelms my health. They just hit much too quickly. Also, against them, Spirit Bond either doesn't seem to be healing or the heal is swallowed up so quickly it is non existant :-)
The Energy from Essence Bond is nice though hee hee hee
Update:
I got it. You can't take them all at once head on. You need to go around the mound of earth and then attack. This splits them, pulls two or three away. Then you can deeeeestroy them with Holy Wrath ^_^ *grin*

Why would anyone call using in-game skills in specific combinations to defeat opponents in PVE cheating?
Don't you know that's what Guild Wars PVE is about?
You put together a specific build to survive a specific situation. Any other idiot that puts together the same build will be able to survive as well. The people that don't know the builds, or haven't thought about them yet, are the ones that suffer frustration after frustration in certain missions.
Yes-Many Builds just will not work in various missions and game zones no matter how skilled the player is.
Get the right build and complete the mission/get the title/whatever.
That's the game.
But since it's PVE which is you vs the game and no one else, and everything is Instanced, you go ahead and feel free to play it any way that *you* choose to.

Give me a break, you know darn well this isn't the way the title was meant to be achieved.
The majority of this "guide" is having other people do the work for you
(rushing to places)
People must get a great sense of achievement after getting the title this way!
Way to go!! <cheer>
Feel free to get the title any way you want, but what is the point?

The point is to get the title? It doesnt really matter how you get the title.
If you want to get it and feel great about it then do so your own way if you feel like this is cheating but if you just want it for +1 towards titles then this is a great way and if you want it just to say *hey i've had /got the survivor title* then this also suits those kind of people.
Just how would you say the title was "supposed" to be earned?

Cheating to get this title would be any new made character automatically getting the title. Nomatter how it's earned. 100 hours or 10 hours of farming, it's still earned. I honestly don't care if their was an uber easy 1 million exp point per farm run that took 2 seconds to complete. Either way they still had to do work to gain the title, minimizing the difficulty is imo the SMART thing any player who wants the title to do.
That is what seperates those who get the title and those who say it's cheating. Nomatter what anyone says they still had to earn 1,377,000 experience without a death. Whether it's farming experience or doing missions they earned it. So stop the protests and do like we were told as kids.
If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all.
